Researchers from the Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) Consortium are funded by NIA to carry out analyses of ADSP data. The CHARGE team has diverse and complementary experience in bioinformatics, applied statistics and methodological development, admixture and ethnic diversity, rare variant association, network modeling, and preclinical validation of targets, as well as clinical expertise in AD. The team conducts an array of association analyses of AD and related endophenotypes to identify novel protective and risk variants. They leverage the ethnically diverse and admixed ADSP data set to perform ethnic-specific and trans-ethnic meta-analyses. They also work closely with the Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP) projects to perform bioinformatics and omics integrative analyses to identify putative therapeutic targets.
